tried to find the words i could say without all the red showing in my face it's weird (YEAH) the way you make me feel i honestly never thought this moment could be real where we stomp our feet throwing our cares and worries to the breeze singing our songs, laughing because we're getting every single word wrong
i'm here caught by surprise that i am the one that you sought with your eyes and i still can't believe that you share the same feelings as me you make my knees shake you bring out the sun whenever it rains you make me better when i am not well you make me actually not completely hate myself
you brought back the energy to me giving me the strength to do what i need to be a person again cutting out the venomous bits of my head making the air hard mixing up the rhythms inside my heart making my cheeks hurt twisting my tongue around my words

This is album is like nothing I've ever heard. I love how the dissonance turns into cohesion and then proceeds to flow between the two. The jazziness of it, the tenderness of it, the lightheartedness of the sound in places...it really astounds me. I wish I could listen to it for the first time again. coitosk

Certainly a controversial direction for the band, but this album ultimately rests as my favorite from TTNG. The technical mastery of their previous albums is still present here along with some very thought provoking and philosophical lyrics. I may not always agree with the lyrical messaging, but this is an album which rewards careful listening. Syobnaf

Fans of Polvo, take note! The excellent Kansas City band Abandoncy has the same fondness for corkscrewing riffs & melodies. It’s great! Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 28, 2022
